Old-growth forests along Bikin River seen from Mt. Ulyma reminds me of old-growth forests along Ishikari River that filled Kamikawa Basin once upon a time.? When I think of the loss of my childhood environment, I am reminded that the existence of Siberian tiger, the Ussuri, the Taiga, and the Udege who live there are too precious to lose.? Whether we will be able to leave these forests, where Siberian tigers live, to? our children and grandchildren may also tell something about our future.? It is our responsibility as a neighbor to protect these forests.
